PRODUCTION
The planning and preparation stage of filmmaking. During this time, principal actors are cast, the crew is hired, schedules are made, and locations are secured.
When principal photography is complete, the project moves into post-production. This phase includes , editing, sound mixing, and any special effects the project may need.
The production phase is where Actors, Crew and Director all come together and begin principal photography (filming) for the movie or TV show takes place.

Founded in 2004 by Maurice Simmons, a retired Army Veteran and award-winning director and producer, Task Media has established itself as a premier video production company. With over 20 years of experience in creating compelling documentaries and narrative films, Maurice brings a wealth of expertise and a unique vision to every project.
Under Maurice's leadership, Task Media has garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious "Best Director" and "Best Documentary" awards. His most recent film, "Greater Than Ourselves – The Legacy of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc." won "Best Documentary Narrative" at the Indianapolis Black Documentary Film Festival, showcasing Maurice's exceptional storytelling and directorial skills.
TASK MEDIA COMMERCIAL
PRODUCTION RATES
We provide the crew, cameras, lights, mics and any other required gear.
We can function as a crew of one or more of the following:
Director, DP, Gaffer, Cam Op and Audio Tech.
Videographer - Crew Rates
$700 — Videographer Day Rate (up to 8 hours on site including set-up**)
$400 — Videographer Half Day Rate (4 hours on site including set-up)
$125/h — Videographer Hourly Rate (additional hours or minimum of 3)
Additional Production Crew:
$400 — Assistant Day Rate (up to 8 hours on site including set-up)
$250 — Assistant Half Day (up to 4 hours on site including set-up)
$TBD — Makeup Artist / Stylist Day Rate
$TBD — Makeup Artist / Stylist Half Day Rate
Special set-up time is billed, but tear down is not. Billed in 30 minute increments rounding up.
Full days and half days will take scheduling and crew member priority over hourly jobs

Included w/crew - Basic Pro Camera (1080, 4k, 8-bit 4:2:0)
Included w/crew - Standard Professional Lenses (Zoom and Primes)

$75 — Standard Professional Audio Kit (Wireless lav mic and or boom)
$150 — Standard Professional Light Kit (900 LED panels + diffusion)
$100 — Standard Cinematic Motion Tools (SLR sized Gimbal or Slider)
Standard Equipment Upgrade:
$200 — Camera Upgrade (4k, 10-bit 4:2:2)
Cinema Camera Equipment: $1000 - Cinema Camera, w/Cine Lenses (8K – 12Bit 4:4:4. BRAW)
$250 — Additional Cameras (4k - 10Bit, ProRes, BRaw)
$100 — Additional Mics
$100 — Standard Background / Backdrop
$100 — Client Monitor
Post Production Rates
Video Editing:
$75/h — Standard Video Editing Hourly Rate (ie: sync, cut, color Correction)
$50/h — Rush Editing Hourly Add-on.
Add-Ons:
$100 — Licensed Music Track (royalty free, commercial use rights, up to 3 minutes)
$200 — Stock Video Clip (each)
$75— Stock Photo (each)
$100 — Hard Drive & Shipping (HDD or Flash Drive up to 1TB, lower US)
Typically, 1 day of shooting requires 2 days of basic editing.
Multiple deliverables typically require more time in post.
** Additional fees for needs such as voiceovers, music licensing, etc.
